Hazel Cameron, 4C Coalition director, is featured on a KING-5 TV segment which aired August 4.

In an interview by local reporter Drew Andre, Cameron talks about the mission and goals of the 4C – to support the personal, academic and social development of youth in King County – a role she has been passionate about for the past 25 years.
The 2-minute segment also promotes the 4C’s newest program which offers customized guidance and support to youth who are incarcerated, on probation, or placed in a court-ordered diversion program. The Justice-Involved Youth Mentoring program joins the organization’s other programs: One-on-One Mentoring, Group Mentoring, and Tutoring. This fall, 4-C will be partnering with four schools in King County.
“Our mentors play a powerful role in helping youth make responsible decisions, stay in school, and reduce or avoid risky behavior,” said Cameron. “We meet kids where they are and give them the tools they need to prepare for college, jobs and productive lives.”
Also featured in the interview is Kenny Ouedraogo who has been mentored for several years by men recruited and trained by 4-C. A graduate of Seattle Prep, Ouedraogo worked at City Hall as a summer intern for the past two years. This fall, he is headed to Seattle University as a political science major.
